Greeting from Stockholm Sweden

Hello from downtown Stockholm. The Columbus Blue Jackets (National Hockey League) open their new season this Friday at the Globe Arena against the San Jose Sharks. They will play again on Saturday.
I thought long and hard about this and finally invited Randi's Dad to come along. We left Columbus on Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 and flew to Newark where we then hustled on a plane to Stockholm where we arrived this morning at 8:00 (2:00 A.M. east coast time). We are part of a tour group and are staying at the Hilton Slussen Hotel.
Finally got to our room about 2; will take it easy the rest of the day.
The guy in the middle is the Jackets mascot Stinger.
More later.

Hey everybody!
I just wanted everyone to know that I got a job!! It's at Messana's Salon & Spa which is (obviously) a salon/spa located in Bel Air, right past Harford Mall. It opened about a year ago and they recently decided to hire a massage therapist (me!) to complete the team. The down side is that I have to wait patiently for clients to fill up my book. But I'm currently designing a website and making business cards to help get the word out.
I'm excited about the job! It has lots of potential. I massaged one of the owners yesterday and she already booked her second one. :]
If you know anyone in Maryland who is searching for an excellent LMT, send them my way!!
Their website is www.messanassalon.com if you wanted to check it out.

Tim.m.m.mber

As you may recall when I was attending Julie's graduation in May part of the maple tree in front of the house came down in a severe thunderstorm. Well, last Wednesday while I was in Cleveland with my buddy John Biltz watching the O's take 2 from the Indians we had a storm squall come through and blow down 2 of the 3 remaining limbs. No real bad damage except for a broken storm window. The tree is now gone and I'm not allowed to leave town for a while!

Happy 34th Anniversary, Mike and Randi!
Hope you two kids are having a great day, hopefully together! I remember August 14, 1976 fondly, especially decorating the car after Mike willingly gave up his keys.

National Scout Jamboree
How do you complete 1 1/2 years worth of designing for the 2010 National Scout Jamboree?
YOU GO THERE FOR THE DAY, AND YOU TAKE YOUR WIFE WITH YOU !!!!!
We went yesterday and spent 5 1/2 hours touring the entire Jamboree !! That added up to 7 miles of walking.
We had a FANTASTIC time. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only show Robin what scouting is all about, but also a chance for me to see everyone from the around not only the country but also the world wearing and collecting my art work !
I'm really glad we went !
Here are several pics of us and the activities. Hope you enjoy them

Pequea Party

The party was well attended; we saw Matt's "tan"; Steve blowing bubbles; Julie's new jewelry case from Bob and Robin (she also got a martini mixer); we all had to wear nametags-these are some of Steve's; and finally on the way home stopped to get a shot of the road to St. Marys.
Food, fun and a good time was had by all.

Baseball games
During our trip east for graduation festivities Randi and I thought that we would like to attend some games.
On Sunday, June 6th the Reds play the Nationals at 1:35. This would be a chance for Randi to see the Reds and for both of us to check out the new DC stadium. Any takers?
Then on Tuesday, June 8th the O's host the Yankees at 7:05. I would assume that some seats would be available.
Keep these games in mind as you plan your coming weeks activities.
See you soon.

Save The Date!
As you know I'll be moving to Columbus this summer for my last year of graduate school (yay!), so Mom and Dad are throwing me a going away party. It will be held on Saturday, 8/7 at the pier by the Shad Ct. Jones house. I know this is a way off, but I wanted to get the date out there so you could mark your calendars. We'll send out more details closer to the event.

Os Opening Day
Dave's awesome season tickets enabled a bunch of the Jones (and Bezanson) crew to attend Opening Day at Camden Yards. We had club level seats and an all-you-can-eat buffet. Here are a few photos. I think Kim has more. :)

My favorite photo of Dad from the day

No Os game is complete without the crab shuffle!

Frozen Four

Greetings from Detroit and the 2010 Frozen Four-for you non-sports fans this is the NCAA Division I Mens hockey equivalent of the basketball finals. Sean, Randi's Dad and I will tonight be a part of the largest crowd to ever see an indoor hockey game (look for us on ESPN2). The tournament is being held at Ford Field-the indoor stadium for the Detroit Lions (NFL football). We were at practice yesterday for a brief while and managed to get right down to the rink where this puck stopped right in front of us. Tonight we won't be that close.
I also wanted to show everyone the latest fashion for attending a game. Can't wait to get to the mall and do some shopping. More Later.
