Knee Surgery

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well.  I wanted to let everyone know that I'm having arthroscopic knee surgery next Friday to repair torn lateral meniscus in my right knee.  It happened about a month ago during a training session, & I finally got answers yesterday, after a month of doctors' visits, x-ray's, & an MRI.  I'm sure all will be well, as it's a minor surgery (and if Dad can do it, I can do it!)

I'll let everyone know how I'm doing after the surgery.

Starting Early

Here are some updated pictures. We are slowly getting things around-have hung three clocks and a shelf so far. As you can see the "man-cave" needs some work-probably will wait until Carl, Bob and Steve arrive next summer to finish it. By then the casino will be open. Steve and I already decided that Carl and Bob are the foreman and that we are the worker drones.Of course the wives are invited also. And anyone else that wants to come along. Enjoy!

The New Arrival !

Hello to everyone,

   Yesterday Robin and I took delivery of our " Brand new " ( at least to us ) boat.
Ian's jeep has been fitted with a tow hitch and I actually drove the boat home from the shop. Of course, I had my neighbor Bob to help and guide me.
   Now, all we have to do is give it a good cleaning and waxing and we can go out! We will be getting lessons for that as well.

This is going to be an interesting and fun summer. Come on down to visit !

The House

We closed on May 7th after an extended inquisition from Chase mortgage. The landscaping is complete as of yesterday; not sure about the sod. We will begin thinking about moving after school is out next week. Hope to be in by the end of June/beginning of July.

Well, I am once again under contract for a condo! This one is in Worthington, a few exits west of where I am now, & I absolutely love it!! Closing is tentatively set for April 25th, & we have the home inspection on Saturday. Below is a link for pictures:

Met with the landscaping folks today. Stopped by the house and was surprised to see the granite installed and the doors hung.

We're STONED.....

As you can see the stone has been placed across the front of the house.

The drywall is also done. The top picture is our bedroom looking into the master bath; next comes the kitchen and then the great room looking into the kitchen and the den (to the left).

I was in C-town on Tuesday and Wednesday to get these photos. They were sanding the drywall yesterday and expected to put a first coat of paint on today. After that comes vinyl flooring in the baths and the kitchen cabintes are to be installed starting next Friday.

We are looking at a closing the second full week of April.

Scoreboard plague

Last night was the last time that I will operate the scoreboard for a Paulding athletic event. It was Senior night and the Panther boys beat Bryan.

Prior to the player introductions I received this plague.

I still have five straight nights of basketball to do for the state tourney-boys (sectional) and girls (districts)-starting Feb. 28th.

PS: I also wore a tie to do the games for the 1st time ever.

Live from Powell, Ohio it's.... The Doors!

Went to Powell , Ohio today. There was no one working. All of the electrical/cable/phone lines are in and apparently inspected by the builder. The breaker box is below our bedroom so all of the wiring runs up the back wall in our room and them spreads through out the house. As you can see the garage floor has been poured; the basement floor has also been poured and the concrete cap on the crawl space in done as well. The picture that is not a door is of the crawl space from a mid point in the basement looking toward the front of the house. There is lots of storage space there. I think that the next step is the insulation before the drywall process starts.

Condo Update

Hello everyone:

I wanted to let everyone know I'm backing away from the sale of the condo. I found out yesterday that there are 2 pending lawsuits within the development & that is not something that I want to go anywhere near. So.... back to the drawing board. I'm disappointed but everything happens for a reason!!

From our trip to Powell on MLK Day. There is also a rear view, Randi waiting to greet guests at the front door and shots of the shower stall in the master bath and the tub in the guest bath.

There were 6 amigos laying shingles on the roof and 3 doing some additional framing on the inside.

Looks like most of the preliminary plumbing is done. The electrical work should begin this week.
