Congrats to Randi for being selected Teacher of the Year by the Wal-Mart on Stellhorn Road in Fort Wayne.
Each participating Wal-Mart takes nominations and apparently a lot of people from Ohio, and obviously Paulding Elementary, shop there. Anyway, Randi got the most votes so today she and her principal were off to the Wal-Mart where she got this certificate, a $100.00 gift card for herself, $1,000.00 for the school, lots of other goodies and a gift bag for each teacher in her building. She even got to be on Fort Wayne TV and was interviewed (which she was not expecting).
Since she won this award Randi is now entered in the national Wal-Mart teacher of the year contest.
Way to go Randi!

Congratulations Aunt Randi!
Shut up!!
That's really, really fantastic! What a fantastic day to be a Jones on North Williams Street!
I wonder if I can dig up that TV interview on the internet....
Don't spend all of your money in one department!
Thanks. Most unexpected and, no, I do not know who nominated me.
WANE channel 15. We caught it on the 5:00 news.
The goodie bags were shopping bag size. There was also a full size sheet cake (which we put in the lounge but I brought a piece home for Mike) and flowers.
Mom, this is so freaking cool! Has the Paulding County Progress called yet? Or the Crescent News? Way to Go!
Wow! Congratulations!!
No...haven't heard from the C-N or Progress. I'm sure Pat will see to it as we have a renewal levy up in Nov.
That is very cool!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
A big round of applause from all of us.
Are teachers of the year still allowed to bet on games?
Congratulations! Why didn't you mention this last night when we talked? If Sean can find the interview on the internet, please let us know so we can watch it.
Fantastic! And well-deserved!
Congratulations! What an awesome tribute to your hard work. Well deserved, I'm sure!
Well....gee...I have my standing bet on w/Biltz - Bengals/Browns tomorrow!
WANE to a CBS affiliate. I'm sure between Steve and Sean, they'll find it.
I didn't mention it because I didn't want to come across "bragging". It's about my students, not me. Just goes to show that you never know how you make a difference in a young person's life.
Thanks for your continued congrats:-)
Man, I googled every version of Randi Jones and WANE TV but I don't think it's on the internet. It's in Steve's hands now.
You should brag - this is definitely about you and the impact you have on your students!
The clip wasn't long enough?
That's what Mike said.
WONDERFUL!!! The kids in Pauling are much smarter than you realized!!!!
I know I called to talk to you Saturday but I wanted to say Congrats Congrats Congrats Congrats!!!!!!!!! I am so proud of you & so happy that other people recognize the amazing contribution you make to the school & those children! I love you so much!
