...and I was THE LAST juror seated!!! Had they not excused just one person, I would have been an alternate! We didn't get done, so baaaack tomorrow at 9 a.m.

I had a lot of fun when I served as a juror, but I don't think it would have been fun for 18 days...
One Wed. a month for 18 months...
I don't want to make you feel bad, but today (Thurs) I arrived at the courthouse at 8:30 and everyone was excused by noon because all the cases on the day's docket were settled. I didn't even get a glimpse of the courtroom!! Easy jury duty!! I got paid 15 bucks plus my parking fee. As I was leaving, I thought maybe I should go to school for a half day. But that thought only lasted for 2 seconds!!!
Don't feel bad. I'm glad you did not go back to school! We get a $40 attendance fee, plus parking and mileage. I have to give the $40to the school.
We started around 9:10 and were done around 12:15. We're to report again Apr. 1st. Even the judge chuckled at that.
When I got home I got my driver's license and tags renewed.
