Internship
I just got my first internship interview invitation! Cincinnati- here I come! :) :) I wasn't expecting to hear about interviews until after Thanksgiving, so I'm sooo excited!
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who helped me have a wonderful 50th birthday! I loved the dinner in Port Deposit and the surprise party and all of the cards and phone calls. A terrific way to turn 50!

UMBC and President Hrabowski
Hi everyone-
Since Erin plugged something awesome about Wittenberg, I thought I'd plug UMBC and our president, Freeman Hrabowski, who was recently named by Time Magazine to be one of the top ten college presidents in the country. I don't know if any of you have ever seen Dr. Hrabowski speak, but in my opinion this is an honor well deserved. I love seeing him around campus because he always has a huge smile on his face.
And to give credit where credit is due, OSU's president was also among the top ten! It's good to know the Jones grandkids are getting excellent educations!
Here's a link to the blurb about Dr. Hrabowski:

Wittenberg University
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know just how proud I am to be a Wittenberg Alumna! Last night's episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was located in Beavercreek, OH; between Dayton & Springfield & home of Wright Patt Airforce Base. The lucky family was a man who was born in Vietnam during the war to an Airforce member & a vietnemese woman. He contracted polio & the Airforce brought him to the U.S. where he was adopted. He currently works at Wright Patt Airforce Base as a computer guru & also mentors victims of the Iraq war who are now wheelchair bound. In addition, he plays on a wheelchair basketball team & works with kids who are also wheelchair bound.
So how did Wittenberg become a part of this? Well, in addition to having students in Beavercreek that week helping to build his family a new home, my school gave the family 4 full-tuition scholarships for their children, currently ages 1-6. It is valued at over $500,000 & believed to be the largest dollar amount ever given by a school on the show!
I just had to share this with everyone..... it is definitely a VERY proud moment for our school!
Hope everyone is well!

Christmas plans ?
Good morning everyone !
Had a great time yesterday celebrating our birthdays !
Thanks again Cindy and Steve for the dinner.
Here's the question.
Who is traveling from Ohio for the holidays and when do you all plan on arriving.
The Shad Court Hilton will be open, so we can work out who is staying where and when.
We're looking forward to the visit.
The contractors are arriving soon to install the indoor pool and jacuzzi/ hot tub combo. We still have to figure out where to have the complimentary breakfast bar installed. May have to put an addition on the house since we can't use the garage space (we can't have the t-bird sitting outside).
That just would not be right!
Just let us know.

Thank you, Cindy!
November 8-14th is National Radiologic Technology Week, which honors the contributions of radiologic technologists and increases awareness of their role within the health care community. This year's theme "Improving Health Care One Image At a Time", focuses on the impact that each image makes in patient treatment.
So let's all send our thanks to Cindy and the thousands of other radiologic technologists who make valuable contributions to our health care system!
