Spring Olympics

Hey everyone,
I know a lot of you heard about Spring Olympics while I was home over Easter so I just thought I would tell you all how it went.
On the first day, we had the captain's event where people had to defrost a frozen t-shirt and then put the t-shirt on. This was extremely entertaining to watch. They had some crazy methods of breaking the ice!
On Wednesday we had karaoke night. Everyone that performed was really funny and some of them even had dance moves to go along with their songs.
Thursday and Friday there were events in the afternoons which all went well.
On Saturday, we were basically outside all day long with events. The first event of the day was the three mile run, which somehow I had to end up running for my dorm because the girl who signed up did not show. Let's just say I was not too happy about it.
Then came Red Light Green Light which I did sign up for. It was so much fun to play even though I didn't end up placing. We only placed people for first through third, but if we had kept going I'm pretty sure I would have gotten fourth of fifth. I had my very own cheering section too which was pretty cool. It's a pretty intense game, let me tell ya.
Overall, my building got second place out of nine buildings which was really exciting and made for a fun week!

Tickets

Since Dave is an Orioles season ticket holder he can get tickets at a discounted rate for this Friday's game. If I counted right, we would need 12 tickets, including Dave and myself. If you want him to do this, is there a certain section you would like to sit in? Or how much are you willing to pay? Either let me know, or call Dave at 410.382.5602 so he can contact his representative.

And how bout them O's yesterday!! Kicking some Yankee butt!
Here's a view from our seats yesterday:

Dear O's fans-

In response to Linda's post:

Sean and I will be leaving Wednesday morning and staying at the Forest Hill Hilton (aka the Steve Jones residence).

On Thursday I have made arrangements for the two of us to have lunch with Pop. Usually we meet at the Applebee's in Westminster, but we can make other arrangements to accommodate those among us who might not be able to attend the O's game. The hockey games start at 5 (gates open at 4), and we need to be at the Metro by around 3 or so to travel to DC. (is that time right Steve?)

Friday we thought that we would visit Annapolis before the game. I was not planning on purchasing tickets for the game until we got to the stadium (around 6?). Right now those attending are Sean and I, Steve, Cindy, Matt and Ali. (I haven't heard from anyone else.)

Saturday the day is free until early afternoon when we will need to travel to the Metro station for the trip to DC and the final game.

Sunday we return to Ohio.

Hope this info helps-looking forward to hearing from everyone on the blog and seeing you next week.
