Spring Olympics

Hey everyone,
I know a lot of you heard about Spring Olympics while I was home over Easter so I just thought I would tell you all how it went.
On the first day, we had the captain's event where people had to defrost a frozen t-shirt and then put the t-shirt on. This was extremely entertaining to watch. They had some crazy methods of breaking the ice!
On Wednesday we had karaoke night. Everyone that performed was really funny and some of them even had dance moves to go along with their songs.
Thursday and Friday there were events in the afternoons which all went well.
On Saturday, we were basically outside all day long with events. The first event of the day was the three mile run, which somehow I had to end up running for my dorm because the girl who signed up did not show. Let's just say I was not too happy about it.
Then came Red Light Green Light which I did sign up for. It was so much fun to play even though I didn't end up placing. We only placed people for first through third, but if we had kept going I'm pretty sure I would have gotten fourth of fifth. I had my very own cheering section too which was pretty cool. It's a pretty intense game, let me tell ya.
Overall, my building got second place out of nine buildings which was really exciting and made for a fun week!

RAH! Better you than me running! You were a good sport! So what did your building "win" for placing 2nd?

Congratulations Ali! 2nd place!!
I can't wait to hear about some of the ways the students broke through the frozen t-shirt.
Wow- Red Light, Green Light intense? Must play differently than when I was a kid. Maybe your practice at my house at Easter helped.

I'm with Momma Becker-Red Light Green Light is intense?

Just out of curiosity-how much education went on while the GAMES were being played? Just want to make sure that your Mom and Dad are getting their money's worth.

Do you have any photos that you want to share with the rest of us?

Have fun the rest of the spring-just think-the first year is almost over. I told you that it would fly by.

Well, I must have really missed a wild time at the Beckers if you were practicing Red Light Green Light. I should have skipped choir practice!!
