Snow Day!

I have a snow day today! My first one in almost 30 years! My office closed today so I don't have to worry about working from home. Kevin is also home, schools are closed. We only have a couple inches of snow, but they're predicting more later, along with sleet and freezing rain. Hopefully Carl will get home safely from Allentown before it gets bad.

Anybody else home today?

I'm home too! My testing client canceled yesterday afternoon, so when I looked outside today I figured... why go in? No client anyway!

The rest of the Joneses should be off too. I know Baltimore County and Harford County schools are closed.

Hi Linda. Too bad we don't live closer, we could have a snow day together, bake cookies or something else fattening!

Yep! I had a "snow day", but we didn't really have much snow. We didn't even have that much sleet or freezing rain like was predicted. Kim didn't have classes, and Ian was also off. We all had an exciting day of doing homework/paperwork. Now we'll be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

We had a 2 hr delay, one of the many delays, added to the 5 days we were closed (so far) this month.

I would KILL for either a snow day or a day of paperwork:

I called 5 people about repair/maintenance issues, made 140 Veggie Burgers, enough Cream Sauce for 80 Spinach Dips, Tomato Soup to Last three days, we roasted 30 gallons of potatoes, clarified 4 gallons of butter, served 300 guests and then packed it all away. I scrubbed an oven for 50 minutes tonight :-/

Next time you go out for dinner, tip the CHEF not your waiter....OK, tip both of them, I don't want Kim to be left out!

TGIS - thank goodnes it's Sat. because we would be missing #12 due to freezing fog! The only thing we haven't had this winter is a tornado!

Does working at Northstar curb your appetite, Sean, or increase it? That's a LOT of food.

And what exactly is freezing fog? Sounds dangerous!

haha Sean. You better tip your server! I don't know how it works at Northstar, but around here the chefs make considerably more money an hour then us servers do.

But Aunt Donna, as Mom mentioned, I didn't have class yesterday which was great. It gave me a chance to get a bunch of homework done and work on my massage therapy application. :]

Working at Northstar only increases my appetite. Twice a day (once at breakfast and again at 4 PM-ish) the managers in the building order a "taste" to check the food quality.

If it is me and the right mix of two other people, we can put away five entrees and a cookie! But when I get home at midnight, I'm hungry all over again.

As near as I can find...freezing fog occurs when the temp is 32. It coats trees, powerlines, etc...like freezing rain would do. Actually it's quite picturesque.

KIM - your Uncle Mike and I tip generously!
