Yes We Can

I went to the Obama rally here in Columbus today. The mood was jubilant and the message was positive. It was a great experience though I should have worn sun screen. I currently resemble a radish...

WOW...Cool!!! Where was this rally?

The rally was at Genoa Park Downtown. It's the park right behind Cosi, there on the river. It was really, really cool!

I knew there was a park there, just didn't know the name.

I AM SO JEALOUS.

(And I never write in all caps.)

Although I'm more than happy to live in a solidly blue state, sometimes I wish candidates would come through my way so I could see them too... Instead I just wear my Obama shirt during the debates and exchange thumbs-ups with other people with Obama bumper stickers. :P

Sometimes I wish Ohio wasn't a swing state (those cranky ads are getting on my nerves), but then there are days like yesterday when I am so glad the candidates have to actually pay attention to the people of our state. It is so much more engaging to see a candidate in the flesh. And to be surrounded by people that are just as excited as you are makes it that much better.

Liz - I couldn't agree more!
Linda - I've not seen a candidate upclose/personal either like Erin and Liz have.

Yeah but she lives with you & that's not the same thing! I am so glad you got to go see him Liz.... you're right that there's nothing like seeing him in person & it's such a RUSH to be there & see all the people who come out to see him!

So Liz I'm curious, did you get to meet the now famous Joe the Plumber when you were at this rally?

Lizzie Jones said...

Sorry, Julie, Joe the Plumber is in Toledo. Maybe someday, though... :)
